Material & Design
We chose high-purity quartz for the tube. It’s the best material for letting UV light through and can handle sudden temperature shifts without cracking. We also put a precision coating on the glass to filter out the wavelengths you don’t need, so all you get is that powerful 254nm germicidal peak. Inside, a halogen fill keeps the filament from degrading, which helps the lamp last longer. And the connector? It’s an R7s base. We went with it because it’s a standard, bi-pin design. It’s a practical choice that makes installation a snap—just a direct, drop-in replacement. No messing with the socket or wiring.
