
Why “Cheap” UV Lamps Are a Huge Gamble
If you’re sourcing UV lamps from China to sell globally, you need to realize you’re buying more than just glass and electrodes. You’re basically importing intellectual property. Here’s the problem: a lot of those “generic” lamps you see are just clones of someone else’s design. If your shipment hits customs in the US or EU and the paperwork doesn’t line up with the IP laws, your entire order could be seized. Just gone. That’s a nightmare no one wants. You might save 10% on the unit price, but you’re risking a total shipment seizure or a flood of angry customers calling you about failed lamps.
