You could build a UV sterilization system that wipes out 99.9% of pathogens, but if it doesn’t have that CE mark, you’re not getting it into Europe. Period. For us, that certification isn’t just some bureaucratic hurdle or a piece of paper to file away. It’s how we prove the electrical insulation is solid, the ozone levels are safe, and the UV light isn’t leaking where it shouldn’t.
Why the technical stuff actually matters
Let’s be honest: UV systems are a bit intense. You’re dealing with high-voltage ballasts and shortwave radiation. If a quartz sleeve leaks or the housing fails, you aren’t just looking at a broken machine. You’re looking at a potential injury or a total system meltdown. That’s why we obsess over every single part—right down to the capacitors and the wiring. We make sure nothing burns out when the system is running full tilt. Plus, we test for electromagnetic compatibility. In plain English? Your UV system won’t freak out the other sensors on your production line.
No one likes a gamble
If you’re running a high-end medical facility or a food plant, the last thing you want is “mystery gear.” Nobody wants to wonder if their equipment is going to trip the circuit breakers or leak radiation into the workspace.
